March 14, 2017

The female was perched near the nest all evening. The male looked like he was in the nest.

There was no visible activity for two hours (~4-6p). Then, as I was distracted by the Red Bull helicopter, the male presumably returned to the nest. When I turned around again, the female had just landed on the ridge. After a while, she returned to the nest and traded places with the male.

Nothing terribly interesting this afternoon. Mom did a quick run to a food stash and brought a bit back - perhaps a sign there are chicks.

Dad perched in the pine above the nest. (4:55p)
